Sandblast

Sandblast

Sandblast technique is very efficient and very aggressive. With a variety of grits available, sandblasting makes it possible to remove everything that needs to be removed from a broad range of surfaces. We are equipped to carry out this type of work in confined spaces. Specific grits of sand regulate the level of abrasiveness and impart different finishes.

Advantages of sandblasting:

  • Fast and affordable
  • Efficient for large-scale blast cleaning jobs

Main applications of sandblasting:

Blast cleaning steel structures, tanks, concrete swimming pools, heavy equipment, civil engineering works, stonework, street furniture, trailers, etc.

Wet sandblasting

Wet sandblasting

The addition of water to the sand/ recycling glass allows work to be carried out in open spaces and limits dust.

Advantages of wet sandblasting:

  • Light or aggressive, various grits available
  • Efficient for large-scale blast cleaning jobs
  • Quickly and affordably removes what needs to be removed
  • Suitable for a variety of surfaces lik concrete, bricks, stones. Wet sandblast is not suitable with steel.
  • Allows sandblasting to be carried out in urban settings. In Montreal, we obtain a permit from the City’s Service de l'environment before starting work.

Main applications of wet sandblasting:

Blast cleaning paint on concrete, bricks, stones, concrete swimming pools, civil engineering works, street furniture, etc.

Recycled crushed glass blasting

Recycled crushed glass blasting

This effective technique offers several advantages and is an environmentally responsible choice.

Advantages of recycled crushed glass blasting:

  • Recycled glass is non-siliceous
  • Abrasion rating comparable with sand
  • Produces less dust
  • Better preserves surface appearance

Main applications:

  • Stone, brick and concrete finishing. Paint stripping on steel.

Glass bead blast

Glass bead blast

Glass bead unlike other abrasives has no roughness.

  • It scours while giving a smooth finish
  • Ideal for finishing stainless steel, giving a satin finish while standardizing color
  • A good solution if you want to keep a smooth finish on fragile surfaces like wood

Soda blasting (sodium bicarbonate)

Soda blasting (sodium bicarbonate)

The most gentle abrasive, which preserves the feel of the original finish

Advantages of soda blasting:

  • Low level of abrasiveness
  • The addition of compressed air makes it very effective at removing a range of contaminants
  • Works well for preserving the texture of wood and sheet steel.

Main applications of soda blasting:

  • Soot and fire stain removal, food industry

Hot water blasting and steam blasting

Hot water blasting and steam blasting

This cost-effective solution is minimally abrasive and allows for the addition of cleaning products.

Advantages of water blasting:

  • No residual abrasive
  • Economical
  • Effective solution for hard-to-reach spaces

Principal applications of water blasting:

Cleaning buildings and underground parking garages, cutting ice during ice jams, of residual paint and rust removal, deicing, etc.

Cleaning, blasting and decontamination with dry ice

Cleaning, blasting and decontamination with dry ice

This cryogenic technique is a low abrasive solution that has a number of advantages for protecting the area where work is carried out. Dry ice sublimates, passing from a solid to a gas without liquefying. It evaporates as soon as it comes in contact with the target surface.

Advantages of using cryogenics:

  • Requires no solvents
  • Leaves no waste or residual water
  • Easily eliminates contaminants at a moderate cost
  • Fast

Main applications for cryogenic blasting:

The absence of residue makes it a perfect technique for use in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Use of dry ice is also safe when working near electrical installations and fragile surfaces, such as glass and plastic. Food production lines can be cleaned without halting production. It is also suitable for decontamination of areas affected by mold and fungus

Other cleaning and sandblast products
